Believe it or not from Ripley! Strive for the Guinness World Records ™ Title for Biggest Ball of Human Hair

As part of his Shave The Beard And Make It Weird! campaign, Ripley’s encourages entries from everywhere. Participants can either visit a participating Floyd’s location or send their mane – even just a bit of split ends – to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Headquarters at Orlando florida, to help achieve the world record.

Originally created by the stylist Steve warden, Hoss eclipsed 100 pounds in 2019 and is now on the verge of breaking the current record of 167 pounds. To achieve his goal of obtaining the title of The biggest human hair ball, Ripley’s launched the Shave the Beard and Make It Weird! at the annual conference of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) last week, bringing together over $ 30,000 for Give Kids The World Village, a whimsical 89-acre nonprofit in Central florida which offers seriously ill children and their families a magical one-week dream vacation at no cost.

Like Ripley, Jim Pattison Jr., president of Ripley’s Believe It or Not !, brought his own beard to Hoss at the IAAPA Expo. “At the start of the pandemic, I told my team that I would not shave until all of Ripley’s attractions reopened. Today, I am proud to say that we have successfully opened our doors. and safe around the world. The goal of No-Shave November is to raise awareness by kissing our hair, which many cancer patients shed, and letting it grow wild and free. We ask that you donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to No-Shave. Our goal is to raise cancer awareness, educate about cancer prevention, and help those who are struggling by funding important programs and research through multiple notable foundations.
