Cancer specialist Dattatreyudu meets Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan

Oncologist and counselor (cancer) N. Dattatreyudu met with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the latter’s camp office on Friday.

During the meeting, they discussed cancer prevention measures and advanced treatment methods. The state government will set up comprehensive cancer care hospitals in Tirupati, Vishakapatnam and one between Vijayawada and Guntur, as well as a special cancer care center for children in Tirupati.

Dr. Dattatreyudu and famous American physician Ashok Kumar Konduru reviewed the Cancer Care Center to be set up in Tirupati and submitted the report to the Chief Minister.

The chief minister ordered them to focus on screening alongside treatment, as well as HPV vaccination, and said detecting cancer at an early stage would save patients’ lives. He asked them to prepare a plan to ensure that the poor also benefit from better cancer treatment facilities.

Dr. Dattatreyudu prepared the DPR on cancer care centers ensuring that treatment is accessible to all. Discussions focused on securing cancer treatment in the state so that patients do not go to other states.
